Camila Chicon is an Afro dancer, teacher and therapeutic dance facilitator.
Since arriving in 2017, she has been running community dance classes in New Zealand. She has been settled on Waiheke Island where she facilitates diverse dance workshops where she combines different techniques of traditional African dance, conscious body training, improvisation and therapeutic dance. Also, she leads Afriky, an afro dance and drum performance group. Camila and her team have facilitated workshops and performances at multiple festivals and events throughout New Zealand.
